The Office of Enrollment Management and Spartan Academic Success is directed by Dr. Bryan Terry, Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. Before being appointed as Vice Chancellor, Dr. Terry served as Associate Provost for Enrollment Management at UNCG. Dr. Terry has served as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Academic Success at Montclair State University in New Jersey, as well as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Seton Hall University from 2006-2009. Dr. Terry has extensive experience around issues of enrollment and student success and has a strong track record in recruitment and retention.

Enrollment Management consists of Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Office of the Registrar. Additional units tied to Enrollment Management include the Student’s First Office, UNCG Guarantee, the Student Success Center, and the office of New Student Transitions & First Year Experience.

The mission of Enrollment Management and Spartan Academic Success is to work in partnership with the University community to deliver high quality services to facilitate the recruitment, retention and graduation of a diverse student population and also strives to provide service, leadership and transitional student support for UNCG. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to designing, implementing and providing the services necessary to promote student success throughout the entire student life cycle from day one to diploma. The goal of Enrollment Management and Spartan Academic Success is to:

  • Attract, admit, enroll and retain a desirable student body for the UNCG campus
  • Increase matriculation and retention of high achieving students
  • Create connections and work collaboratively with the University Community to enhance UNCG’s ability to attract, retain and graduate students
  • Facilitate student transitions to UNCG that lead to positive adjustment, academic success and student persistence
  • Promote UNCG and the pursuit of higher education
